If you would change from nomecognome.netsons.org to qualcosachemipiace.netsons.org by exploiting the CPanel or the WordPress menu the answer is definetively NO: you'll loose all the work and nobody can help you to retrieve it if you didn't backup your site.
To change your domain you need to migrate your site from a domain to another, please try to reason on the difference.
